From a small group of Residents at Mary MacKillop Residence, Hawthorn East (Victoria) came the fulfillment of Caroline Dale’s rsj dream - establishing her BLING shop, from where she sells brightly coloured, fashionable, flashy accessories to raise money for the works of the Sisters of St Joseph.

Picton Students Rug up to Support Vinnies Winter Appeal
Upon opening St Anthony's Primary School Picton in 1880 Sr Veronica Champion wrote to Mary MacKillop, "I like this place .. it is very beautiful. I expect to have a good school before long. The people are extremely kind." That kindness continues to be seen in the ways the students and staff respond to need in the spirit of Mary MacKillop - most recently in their support of the St Vincent de Paul Society's Winter Appeal.

Mary MacKillop Place Museum Object Highlighted at Technology Conference
A video of the Object Connected Experience at Mary MacKillop Place Museum featuring the Museum’s curator, Edwina Huntley, introducing the new technology and students from Mount St Joseph Milperra sharing their first impressions, was highlighted at CeBIT, the leading Australian Business Technology Exhibition, Global Conference and Networking events, held in Sydney in May.

Comment on the Senior Secondary History Curriculum
The draft Senior Secondary History curriculum is available for comment until 20 July. Whilst we applaud the inclusion of two mentions of East Timor in the draft Senior Secondary History Curriculum, we believe that an understanding of the history of the relationship between Australia and Timor-Leste is vitally important for students’ education. This relationship is not sufficiently represented in the Draft.
