To the Josephite Action Group (JAG), friendship means trusting in a shared mission that ignites hope and walking alongside each other to spread light for the community.
We were privileged to witness this meaning of friendship at our lastest JAG Training Weekend held at St Joseph’s Baulkham Hills, where old faces reunited, and new connections were forged.
Together we echoed memories of the past and passionately shared dreams for the future. As we planned, sung, danced, and laughed, we felt the seeding spirit of Josephite friendship grow into a blossoming tree, rooted in the Gospel values of love, justice, and hope.
Connected by the charism of St Mary MacKillop and Fr Julian Tenision Woods – who too shared a friendship founded on service and justice – we can take fresh courage and use our voices in the name of the poor.
Friendship can transform, heal and change the world for the better. It is up to us to start from the beginning to the friend.
We thank our JAGgers for sharing with us their testimonies of friendship:
The weekend was inspiring, fun and magical! This is the stuff the world needs and I hope to continue to see the amazing impact this group has.
Awesome experience. Everyone was absolutely amazing. I got to learn about our world and the needs in order for it to survive and thrive! I’m grateful for the experience and for every moment of it.
The weekend trip was a great way of catching up with the JAG members and socialising with new people who share similar interests and passions! It offered a great opportunity for unity and strength in issues that need addressing throughout our communities.
The weekend was an amazing opportunity to reconnect with like-minded people. It was a refreshing opportunity for fun, faith and action!
Such a unique experience!!! Meeting like-minded people where everyone’s aim is following Christ’s teachings and willing to help others from their heart. Every single person I met was great and has taught me so much.
It was a wonderful experience that allowed everyone to share their passion for bringing justice to the world. We had so much fun doing several activities. I would like to thank JAG for providing this opportunity for us.
