Mary MacKillop Place, the Sisters of Saint Joseph and Mary MacKillop Today extend a warm invitation to all to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop on Thursday, 8 August 2024.
We look forward to welcoming everyone, including our pilgrims and supporters, to Mary MacKillop Place in North Sydney.
“Mary MacKillop Place is a sacred site unlike any other because Mary lived, died and is buried here,” says Sr Monica Cavanagh, Congregational Leader of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
“This year we are delighted to offer an evening Mass at 6pm for those unable to visit during the day. The 10am Mass will also be livestreamed so all can join in on this special occasion.
“There will be free admission to the Museum to explore the story of Mary MacKillop and the foundation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, light meals will be on sale, plus the Chapel, gift shop and café will be open for extended hours.”
More details are on the Mary MacKillop Place website here.
After much planning and preparation on site, and hard work by Sisters, staff and volunteers, we look forward to welcoming you.
