The Church Liturgical Year begins with the first Sunday of Advent. There is a 3 year cycle for the Scripture Readings for each Sunday – Year A, Year B and Year C. A reflection on the scripture is provided here are a way of helping you to pray with the Word.
The readings are from the Common Lectionary and the reflections were prepared by Patricia Stevenson rsj for individuals or groups.
The sacred scriptures are the collection of writings which have come from many hands and across many centuries. They are a gift from God working in God’s people. To help us in our prayer we need the wisdom of the community.
